Was so excited to receive my orchid today, but unfortunately, the plant did not do well with shipping. I appreciate all the care that was taken to ensure the plant arrived well hydrated, but there was no effort to make sure the plant was well watered during the trip. Adding paper and styrofoam popcorn will provide cushioning, but no moisture! The orchid plant itself appears to be healthy, but the flowers are completely withered. I also notice that the neck of the flower stem has blackened, indicating there is no way back. After working to hydrate the plant, I eventually cut off the flower stem, in an effort to prolong its life. Sadly, after soaking in a water bath, and in spite of my efforts, the stem never recovered. I shall try to keep the plant going, but overall, this has been a very disappointing purchase.
